Ida Lupino

What's the name of the Ida Lupino picture Diane Keaton gives the plot outline of when she comes over for dinner?

Keaton: I just remembered a great Ida Lupino movie is going to be on TV. The one where she's happily married and then becomes involved with her husbands best friend.

Allen: Really? How does it end?

Keaton: She kills them and herself.

Allen: Let's go out instead.

They Drive by Night

I don't think she killed herself at the end of They Drive by Night, and she wasn't happily married, either.

Did he train you? Did he rehearse you? Did he tell you *exactly* what to do, what to say?!

Correct on both. She was great in that movie, btw....."THE DOORS MADE ME DO IT!!!". If you've seen the movie, you know what she meant by that.

Spoiler:
It can't be They drive by night, although there are many coincidences, at the end she(Lupino) ends up in an asylum convicted of murder, and the other guy lives happy with his fiancee. She didn't love her husband, all the time she had wanted the other guy, that why she got rid of the husband first.
So which one is the Ida Lupino movie they're talking about?

Linda probably forgot the real plot.

The only Ida Lupino picture I've seen is "Road House" (1948), wherein 2 guys (Richard Widmark & Cornel Wilde) are both vying for her attentions . . . . . vaguely like the triangle in PIAS.
