Woody Allen's best film

Maybe because it wasn't directed by Woody Allen--

Diane Keaton sure was cute in this

Agreed. My personal favorite

It's not his best but it's quite funny. Woody was still learning his craft at this juncture of his long career.

Uh, no. Fun, cute little movie, but it's not high art like ANNIE HALL, INTERIORS, STARDUST MEMORIES, etc. It's not even as funny as his other early comedies, like TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN or BANANAS. Hell, it's not even the best non-Allen directed film with him in it; that honor belongs to THE FRONT. Also, you shouldn't trash Allen's directing, as it outs you as a simp.

I agree. I like Allen's other films but I find the comedy a little too dry and subtle and it gets lost in amongst the neurosis which can become boring.

This film is much more accessible and flows better. The script by Allen is still great but it feels like it breathes more when someone else is in the chair.

Of course it's all subjective but I definitely think this is my favourite film that he's in.

It's not Allen's best film by a long shot, but it's definitely one of his funniest. I watched this and Love and Death back to back, and PIAS is much the funnier of the two films.
