Who else here LOVES this movie??
Pink Flamingos is probably one of my favorite films. I think it is pure cinematic genius, not to mention really entertaining.
And isn't Waters commentary on the dvd great?

I haven't seen it yet, but I know I will love it! HahahaMUAHAHA
Trannies are so sweet.
Stefán Karl Stefánsson saved my life.
Oooohhhh I do, I luuuuuv this movie. It is pure, raunchy, dirty genius. Perfect balance of filth and entertainment, bravo Mr. Waters, nobody could have brought those two elements together as good as you.
shareIt definatly falls into the so bad it's good category. As long as film does'nt have me looking at my watch to see how longs left it's a good film in my book.
sharei approve of this post
shareI love it, but I have to look away during certain scenes. :D
shareI don't see why everyone says John Waters films are "so bad they're good." You wanna see one of those flicks, check out "Mommie Dearest." I think the writing and (most) of the acting in this film is amazing-- and better than a lot of the crap that gets made nowadays. :]
Definitely not superior to "Female Trouble," though. THAT will forever remain his masterpiece!
"Dawn Davenport, you are a habitual liar, and I am quite well-aware of it."
Filth is my politics! Filth is my life!

I DO! Especially her interview and speech right before the execution! Hahaha. Oh and the way mr. j says "Raymond and Connie Marble, two jealous perverts".
"When I see you, I don't know why, but I remember.....Him." H.A.T.E.
many people love this awesomely sick film, dude!
shareBest ever movie! '...made his wife wait in the car.' 'Ray and Connie Marble, You stand accused of ...' First time I saw this was at the Elgin in NYC and it was the midnite show after 'Fillmore' - the concert movie. I hadn't heard of it, but figured why not? We were "mellowed" out pretty well - remember when you could smoke in a movie theater? Greatest time ever - laughed all the way through and was so naive I didn't know Divine was a man! I read about the movie the next day and then got a big crowd to see it the next weekend. Laughed just as much and everybody loved it - or hated it!
Somehow don't think that this will make it to Broadway, like Hairspray and CryBaby.
I hope he makes some more! He recently was interviewed and said he had two more movies in him and that's it.
as a cinema connoisseur, i appreciate that this movie 'exists'. I admire walter's general anti-hollywood style. it's always good to balance the 'spectrum' of entertainment.
That being said, i think anyone who 'loves' this film should watch it again NOW & sober.
It's certainly unique and unforgettable, fitting for it's time. But certainly nothing to be studied, copied or admired.
