I would not have ever heard of this movie if it were not for the fact that one night about 18 years ago, it was my turn to get up in the middle of the night to feed the baby, and I turned on the tube as I fed my infant daughter, and this movie was on Encore. After having fed her and put her back to bed I had to watch it all the way thru, sacrificing sleep, but it was well worth it. Was lucky enought to acquire a tape from eBay a few years ago. Anyway, I think Maury's manager looks a little like David Carradine, a little like John Waters, and a little like Steve Buscemi.

Michael C. Gwynne was excellent as Maury's long-suffering and resourceful manager Clarence McGinty; he's a very fine and accomplished actor who you can always depend on to deliver a sound and credible performance.
