Effective, atmospheric gothic time period Naschy classic


I am fond of old, time period gothic suspense horror films set in Europe, from around 1500 to 1900. Hammer Films proved particularly adept. The vintage Paul Naschy horror films of the early 70s followed suit. The Hanging Woman starts off very well in its overcast, gloomy, isolate rural village where the buildings are of rough stone. You almost feel like you're there as well. I recommend watching this one.

Just watched this.
Yes, the atmosphere was quite nice (I was reminded of Plague of the Zombies) but the pacing was very much lacking. Story was pretty convoluted. And only a few zombies at the veeery end, which was disappointing for a zombie movie.
