Blood Spattered Bride vs. Vampyres (74)

"Blood Spattered Bride". It is a slow film that may not click to many viewers upon a first watch, but it grows on repeated viewings. It is stylistically simillar to "Vampyres", but the stronger performances and far more intelligent script make it better in my view. That being said, VERY few films match "Vampyres" in terms of atmosphere, IMO.

What a coincidence, I saw these two as a double feature at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles 5 or 6 years ago.

To answer the question, I would go with BSB by a lot.

I gave V an 8 and BSB a 7, But they are very close. Both could have gone either way. Anulka's beauty was the tie breaker.

The acting is so much better in Vampyres and the storyline is very different and not just the bisexual vampires. The male lead is very interesting and dare I say the Brits are simply better actors. The Spanish are too laid back and therefore less interesting.

I prefer Blood Spattered Bride.

Vampyres seems the more rewatchable of the two.
