What's the story with delayed Raro Blu Ray?

Anyone know? Was supposed to hit US in January and now "unavailable". :-/

I don't know but you can find the english audio in the italian Raro dvd, which is region free :) I hope it helps.

The Blu-ray and DVD are both available direct from Raro Video USA at http://rarovideousa.com/ for $21.98 and $15.98, respectively, with free shipping in the United States. I just received and watched my copy today, and it looks terrific, well worth the price. The only caveat is that the U.S. trailer promised on the box cover is nowhere in sight, but since it was apparently never released in the United States this isn't too surprising.

My guess is that Amazon was strong-arming them for a major price break and they got disgusted and walked. I've heard this floated as the reason why other video companies are skipping Amazon and selling direct (e.g., Twilight Time). Of course, this wouldn't explain why no other online retailers have it either.

If anyone has more solid information on this, I would be interested. At any rate, it is out and available and looks gorgeous. I suggest you get while the getting is good.

By the way, Raro's DVD of The Secret of Dorian Gray also looks stunning, and is available through Amazon, CD Universe, and Raro direct. It's already showing as OOP on several other sites, so if you're interested in Italo horror, you might want to scoop on that one as well.
