Bondage scene done well

they handled the sexual material so professionally it was done like a dance. You didnt really see any thrusts or wild boning.Like you do today it was more about the love.Even though they showed the whole bondage thing it was truly poetic the way they did it .It was done in such way that it wasn't distracting at all too the story. You weren't scratching your head like, whats the legit reason for this.

You are talking about the grown-up bondage scene with Brando and the governess? Actually, I liked the children's version much better - it was funny on one hand but strangely perverted on the other.

Did you just say "the bondage scene was more about love?!" LOL WAT. "It was poetic, done professionally like a dance?!"  Oh my.

It was done mechanically, awkwardly and extremely un-sex-ily, especially on Brando's part. Maybe Beacham seemed like she was putting out a little effort, and if you're a guy you were probably looking more at her than him, but as a chick watching it, I was mostly looking at Brando and I found him forced in movement, flabby, sweaty, bland, indifferent, and just generally sexually unappealing. Like I said in the other topic, he came off like a selfish drunkard, and all I kept wondering was why Beacham's character would be enamored with him in the least bit (the only thing I could figure was the total lack of even remotely attractive males in the near vicinity). At some point she says, in their minimal conversational times together, that she could have just screamed & called for the cops & he'd have "gone to jail for years," and that was exactly what I was wondering from the moment he brutishly grabbed her tit and squeezed it like he was trying to get juice from an orange, rather than lustily groping a body part. It was unfathomable what her character saw in his character, and unconvincing that she found anything about him remotely interesting enough to not just scream "RAPE!" the next time he snuck into her room & blandly ripped the sheets back with slight sadomasochistic intent.

Also, henrimaine, that was rather funny. 

While Brando as Quint was just past his physical prime, a couple months shy of 47 during shooting, he was yet a far cry from Quasimodo. You called him flabby, but it looked like he only had, at most, a few extra pounds on him (which ain't bad for someone of his age). Plus he certainly had charisma, which is what attracted the kids and enabled him to mentor them (unintentionally, I'm sure). Couple both of these factors with what you said about Quint being the sole adult male at the manor on a regular basis and it makes sense that Miss Jessel (Beacham) would fall for his charms.
