Lepus Vs. Plan 9

Who here thinks (in terms of bad movies) how Night of the Lepus stands up against Plan 9 from Outer Space? I think it's worse, given that this movie had an actual (if still small) budget. Any thoughts?

Your right. This movie had stars in it. Bella in Plan 9 did not count.

Those so calles "stars" didn't do much more than look afraid when the rabbits came. Deforest Kelly should never have allowed this film to part of his career. He should have beemed back aboard the Enterprise and resumed medical practice(which he wisely did). And the other so calles "Real Actors", no more needs to be said. Plan 9 was bad because of many factors: Direction, acting, special effects, script, all camera/light work, etc.. Night of the Lepus had all of these qualities(?) in their film. What happened?

I agree. Plan 9 is rated the worst movie ever made, but I was just talking with my boyfriend about how Night of the Lepus was easily as bad if not worse. I believe it was much MUCH worse. I love watching bad movies, and if anyone has a copy of this movie, I will pay you for a copy of your copy. I would like to have it in my collection. My email is [email protected]. Plan 9 is bad in many different ways, far worse than Lepus. Lepus at least has a coherent plot. Sure the bunnies running over miniatures are hilarious, but it's not _bad_ like seeing Ed Wood's chiropractor walking around half the movie hiding his face so people wouldn't notice it wasn't Bela Lugosi.

I think a case can be made it is worse -- Lepus really is rather lame after around 1/2 way in and in respect to "so bad, it's good," a case can be made for both.

Lepus might have somewhat more budget and star power but what the likes of Rory Calhoun (who lest we forget eventually was in "Angel" and its sequel) adds to this is unclear. DeForest Kelley has little to do. Janet Leigh adds nothing much. The special effects here surely don't knock the other film out of the water either.
