Missing Scenes with George Tobias

Anyone who as the DVD know why they have stated that the DVD version has these missing scenes? I just watched it, and it is the same version that is on VHS, and the same one when originally broadcast.

Any assistance with is would be appreciated.

I'd love to know the answer to this mystery as well. Unless I'm crazy (always a possibility), I don't remember ever seeing any scenes with George Tobias. Not sure where that information even came from, but it's still listed as 'fact' over at Wikipedia.

I've seen Night Strangler many times since 1973 (on TV, VHS, and DVD) and have never seen the Tobias scene. If it does exist, thought . . . McGavin often called The X-Files a rip-off of Night Stalker, and I didn't agree, because there have been other vampire-ghost-monster hunters before XF. If you see the XF episodes "Stretch" and "Toombs" you'll understand McGavin better, however. Cannibalistic mutant Eugene Toombs emerges every thirty years to kill five victims -- certainly like "Strangler". But Mulder and Scully locate an old, retired detective who worked on the murder set of 30 years earlier and interview him in a retirement facility.

A couple of years after seeing that XF, I heard of the "Strangler" missing scene. "Holy Crap! That really was a rip-off!" I cried. If it exists . . .

I've never seen the cut scenes with George Tobias, but can confirm that they're in Richard Matheson's original script.
