6.9???!!???

Why does this film have such a relatively low aggregate rating? IMHO, it's incredibly powerful.

I'd go 7.5 or 8. I just watched it for the first time. It is a really good film. It feels like a 90 minute episode of the TV show POLICE STORY. Makes sense since Joseph Wambaugh was behind both. Fine movie & im glad I picked it up.

I saw this one night on local PBS almost 30 years ago, and never forgot it, glad to see that people are still watching and enjoying it after all these years.

I wonder what the reaction of actual police officers was to this. I read they approved of the show POLICE STORY. This movie is similarly unglamorous & grounded.

Just watched it. Its a solid 9 IMO. Great movie. Lots of intensity and subtlety too.

Read the book (and enjoyed it) for a college class back in '71, but I still haven't seen the film. Steve V.

I've never read a Wambaugh book, but if you ever get the opportunity, do yourself a favor and take this film in. I found it tremendously rewarding, though disturbing.

Not too many people rated it, so it will fluctuate until more people see this great movie.
