Coming on Blu Ray from Code Red

Original version will be available by end of June through Code Red via their Cartel. Also look for it at Diabolik.

UPDATE: NECROMANCY is now available on Code Red's Big Cartel website. There will only be a thousand copies pressed of the Blu-ray.

Code Red is promising that this is Bert I. Gordon's original R-rated cut of the film, from 1972. Theatrical prints were further cut down to a PG rating.

Then, in 1983, nudity was added featuring 80's babes like Brinke Stevens, but I don't think that director Gordon produced that footage. The film was also re-edited in 1983, and became THE WITCHING.

The Code Red Blu-ray also features a new four-minute audio interview with star Pamela Franklin.

The color is a bit faded, with a brownish tint to it. However, this cut of the film is quite rare. The disc was probably mastered from the final surviving film element for this edition.

Too many green lines as usual with Code Red releases. Otherwise, a decent transfer.
