William Devane

I'm watching this movie for the first time and while it's not that bad, (kind of all over the place), it's William Devane's acting that seems a little off. I've seen him in other films and his acting was fine but in this it's bad and often over the top, he doesn't seem natural when he's delivering his lines. Maybe it's the way the writer and or director intended him to act. Does anyone else agree? I know this may take a while lol because I see not many people are on this message board. :)
