Dec. 7th, 1972: hospital visit". --- The film was released Dec. 17th, 1972. The whole film takes place in about a 10 day period so they projected the release date perfectly! However it was initially a big flop, and the scriptwriter hated how they changed it. But since then it's become a flawed classic--a great glimpse of the early '70s.
