There is a close up of Bronson's fingernails as he assembles the device in the gas stove. They're damn clean. What kind of "mechanic" has clean fingernails ?

He's a hitman, which is nicknamed "mechanic" he's not some bum that works on cars, guess you didn't watch the movie.
