Do you sing the songs in public?

Cuz, my friends and I do. One day after visiting a friend that was appealing his dismissal from our school. Three of my friend walked all in a line and I departed to get my books and change before our rehearsal. I started singing "there only thinking of him...," as they were reminiscing the good days. After my I got back I noticed that 2 of my friends were still singing, and they did not realize that it was me that started the song. My friend Cory simply assumed that the song popped in her head and got others to sing with her.

I would like to know if anybody else has had experiences like this. Really I'm just curious about others, so it doesn't need to be a song for "Man of La Mancha," but any musical or movie.

P.S. one funny side note of its story was that we we weren't even rehearsing for "La Mancha" but Guys and Dolls.

Whenever I get annoying songs stuck in my head, I find it helps to sing aloud something different. Usually it's Sweet Transvestite from RHPS!

I am mommy; hear me roar!

The Imposible Dream gets stuck in my head from time to time. also makes a great Kerokie song.

I do. I also sing other songs in public.

No, not in public, just in the shower!

The Impossible Dream" is a fantastic song. I love Elvis Presley's version.

Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra (if you want a sightly different version for variety) are good but my favorite is Jim Nabors (yes, as Gomer Pyle).

Oh yeah, used to embarass the Hell out of my nieces when I was taking them
places. "Ode to Joy" is a real favorite. Can't hear it without singing along.
Our local supermarket occassionally has a pianist playing in the PM, & she
loves it when I join in on her "Camelot" medley. I've got a buddy that I sing
songs from "1776" with, to the embassament of his pre-teen daughter. I was
Sancho in a local production & just love the songs.

You sing the lyrics from Ode to Joy? In German, I hope.

I like singing the song with the lyric, I was born in a ditch, by a mother who left me there... and It's All the Same. I have a great voice for it as well as Their Only Thinking of Him. My dream would be Aldonza. maybe it won't be the Impossible Dream for me. Lol.
