My casting idea for NBC's future live telecast of "Man of La Mancha"

Hello. If the Leigh and Dorian musical Man of La Mancha get's an NBC live telecast treatment in a year or two or three, then here's my casting idea:

Either John Lithgow or Stephen Moyer or Chris Pine as Don Quixote
Either Bobby Moynihan or an unknown as Sancho Panza
Either Ariana Grande or an unknown as Dulcinea

Your casting should be like this:

Chris Pine as Cervantes/Quixote

Jack Black as Sancho Panza

Ariana Grande as Dulcinea

Scott Bakula as Don Quixote and whoever lands the other roles had better hope they measure up!

Anyone who can't sing shouldn't be cast as anything but an extra. No stunt casting. Cast the right people in the right role. The cast of the film would have been perfect if they had been singers. Keep them in mind.

I wouldn't have thought of John Lithgow, but it's a fascinating idea.

The first Don Quixote I think of is Scott Bakula. I loved when he did parts of the shoe in Quantum Leap ... or would John Cullum consider doing it again?
