Question about Jim Mackay

Jim Mackay is Chris' old friend. They talk about their old days in Mexico, where they defended a mexican village for only $50.00 each. I know that in the original Magnificent Seven, they got paid $20.00 each. But do you think the role of Jim Mackay in this film, is really supposed to represent Vin from the original film? Comments, please.

I had the same question. I went back to the cast for each of the 3 previous MS films and none had a character by that name. I took it to mean that Chris had gone on at least one more job in a Mexican village that wasn't turned into a movie.

Guys, I think this is an example of poor scriptwriting. Clearly, the producers were hoping that the audience for "MSR" would have a short memory. Furthermore, it doesn't help in terms of continuity that Chris said he had ridden to Mexico three times (i.e. "M7,"ROT7," and "GOTM7"), so consider this a major continuity error.

Same here. One of those ventures that Noah Forbes was likely to document at some stage.🐭
