And I just heard (on Conan O'Brien) that his entire take on the CSI season finale episode that he directed was taken from this movie. Plus, Alex Smight (one of CSI's editors from the very beginning of the series) is the son of Jack Smight (the director of this movie)!

Yeah. I just watched the episode on CNBC. Pretty interesting!

it may have inspired him to create that scene in "kill bill" where uma thurman is buried alive.
