This is probably a stupid question, butdo you know of any other place where you can order it that has Region 1?

There isn't a box set on region 1. Only the single disc versions from Animeigo which are anamorphic and look spectacular with AWESOME subs. I would reccomend them very much. Check out www.deepdiscountdvd.com for them for pretty cheap.

You can get the entire region 2 boxset on www.play.com for only £17.99 with free delivery!!! Just thought i'd let you's all know of this for anyone in the uk thats looking to get it..

£17.99 for 6 films!!! Excellent value! Especially for such great films..

there was a region 1 boxset that you could only get from animeigo's website. I think it's out of print now, but I have one. Despite the image on it is kind of cool it's pretty cheaply made. I'll take a picture if you want.

I just got the last of my 16 Lone Wolf And Cub Books today and the Boxset of the films. So I officially have everything Lone Wolf And Cub (including Shogun Assissan) Is it true theres a new lone wolf and cub series and is it any good?

Btw in case anyone wants to know I got the DVD's on www.play.com for £17.99. They cost 7.99 serperatly and both sets have no extras so the box set is the best set.

Am i right in thinking that the american AnimEigo boxset is the best one to get?

Whats the aspect ratio? does it have that aweful big gap where the subtitles go (instead of nice letterbox format) just like the engish boxset does?

How's the quality transfer?

The UK Region 2 DVD boxed set is cut, for sexualised violence. The US Region 1 AnimEigo set, is uncut, and worth buying. However, there is a superior set to both of these, available from E-ThaiCD. Just visit...

The set contains all 6 movies, uncut and uncensored, with English subtitles, and either Thai DD 5.1 sound or Japanese 2.0 Stereo sound.

Each film is anamorphic widescreen too! Plus, the set works out to less than £25 (UK Sterling)!

I have the French edition of the DVD's.

It comes in a box set with the 6 films + DVD with extra's wich includes interviews with the directors, the mangaka... + a 80 page booklet with various info about the film.

there is a boxset from thailand that has english subs.its virtually identical to the r1 release the box description says r3 but its region 0 ntsc.the cover art is much better looking than the animiego release. and it cost like half the price.

I found the set at hkflix.com for $60.00 USD. Looks good but I worry about the subs?

For those looking for a boxed set region 2. The French edition from Wild Side is high level, the pictures have been cleaned, the sounds have been cleaned too. There are 7 DVDs including one for interviews and rare shots, there is a 80 pages books with pictures too, and it's a nice looking box. It's 100€ at least though and you need to speak French.

Arts magic, the uk supplier of the films is currently remastering and re-releasing the films.

I have received an email from them saying that all remastered films will be released as a box set as well, although i have no news on when!
