Why Marvin Gardens?

I used to think that Marvin Gardens was the cheapest property on the US version of the Monopoly board, but I've now learned that it's the most expensive in the yellow strip. What's the significance of this for the movie? Does it refer to someone who can't quite break into the top league, i.e. the fourth side of the board from Pacific Avenue to Boardwalk?

reply

Could be! But also, all of the Monopoly board properties are based on real life streets in Atlantic City and its environs, which is where the story is set. Finally, Monopoly is about real estate and what's going on in the story is a real estate scam.

The IMDB site says, "Create a new list", but how could I create an old one?
