Gatchaman II, Gatchaman Fighter

Does anybody know if there are plans to release Gatchaman II or Gatchaman Fighter on DVD when this first series is completed? They may as well continue while they have all the voice actors on board. While I had seen many of the Battle Of The Planets renditions of Gatchaman many times in my life, I have never seen any of the next two series except for the last four episodes of Gatchaman II and the first three of Gatchaman Fighter (bootleg VHS with fan made subtitles). I would very much like to experience the two followup series for the first time and sincerely hope that they continue.

Speaking of bootlegs, I had purchased all 105 episodes of the first series on bootleg DVD sets several years ago. Wonderful quality, but horrible English subtitles!!!

Sadly, I have discovered that there are no plans for ADV to release Gatman II or Gatchaman Fighter at this time, though they have completed the voice-over work for the original series 105 episodes. Here is a discussion with George Manley, the English narrator of the ADV DVD series...

Will you be dubbing Gatchaman II and Gatchaman F?

My understanding is that at least for now, that's not the case. The obvious chance to "complete the collection" would be groovy, but it's not presently in the cards.

Also, Luci Christian and I are in the commentary for Volume 17 (episode 96). We had a blast! Look forward to it!

Thanks anyway. I've been really enjoying the series. I hope ADV has been making great sales with them and they decide to release Gatch II and Gatch F with the same voice cast.

I too sincerely hope they will continue the translations and rereleases. I also hope this same cast returns! Wishful thinking? Maybe, but I must have hope!

Well the same cast for English would only return if ADV licensed it, or whoever licenses it for distribution in the US outsources ADV to produce the new English dub.

Yes, I know. Sadly, there seems to be no plans for ADV to continue with the remaining series...at least nothing I've heard about. I haven't heard about anyone being interested in them. Perhaps something will come up as the movie release nears? Maybe, maybe not.
