can any fans help me?

As much as I love seeing Gatchaman as it was intended (grew up on Battle of the Planets-boy was that lame to see as an adult), I'm starting to watch the 18 volume set from Netflix and realize that these episodes are pretty much the same thing over and over. They're all good but I don't know if I can wade thru this much of a good thing. So can someone tell me the names of the best episodes? And beyond jus the best, also the epsiodes in which something sigificant is revealed like who Red Impulse is (I don't know this yet) or who Berg Kaste is or some kind of character development of the Ninja Team members. Thanks.

Hi all,

Okay, not that it'll be a short list, but perhaps this will help. I'll try to list briefly why an episode is significant with the title, or if it's just an episode that I happen to feel has a good story. So, here we go:

While this should pretty much cover all of the "important" episodes, this is by no means a complete list of all the "good" episodes. I'm sure other people would feel that there are other episodes that you shouldn't miss, and will probably add to this list. The run of episodes in the 60s and 70s are particularly strong, and it was hard not to add more of them in as simply being "good."

Anyway, I hope that this gives you something to work with.

I'd like to add...

32. The Grand Gezora Operation Part 1
33. The Grand Gezora Operation Part 2

These episodes build up the Female Commander that is introduced in episode 29 and also focus on Galactor's increasing efforts to discover the team's true identities...something that plays out later in the series.
