Is There A Technical Term For The Opening Transition Effect?

In the first opening (used in the first 23 or 24 episodes) They had the title card (in Japanese). Before transitioning to the next scene, they placed the next scene (viewing the engines of The Godphoenix) into the title and then they zoomed into it. It is similar to being inside of a building, opening a window, looking out of it, and then sticking your head out the window, and then climbing outside. If you don't know what I am talking about, watch the opening title segment of the first version. The second version didn't use this effect. It directly went from the title card to where Galactor soldiers are marching on a shiney blue floor. What is the name of the special effect used in the first version of the opening?

Yes it's called "skillful animation and craftsmanship" - sadly this is missing in modern cartoons that lack care and attention. :)
In all seriousness I'm not sure...I only know I'm in awe of this amazing series and rewatching it now.
