Lacklustre

Despite the stellar cast and production team (Sturges, Surtees and Leonard for starters), this is an uninvolving and staid tale.

Clint is Clint, and Duvall is as solid as you could want. Some lovely mountain visuals by Surtees and a couple of Leonard-esque flourishes in the writing, but overall, I wouldn't bother watching again. The rating of 6+ is generous.
