Overture and Entre’acte?

I found it odd and puzzling that this movie had an overture and entre’acte when the movie was only about 2 hrs long. I thought that they used it mostly for historical epics in the 60s. Plus HBOMAX has a garbage app that makes it painful to fastforward.
