Not many people realize this but the legend of the crazy woman lives on. To this day, a navigation station in Wyoming still bears the name Crazy Woman VOR (FAA intifier CZY). VOR means Very High Omni-directional Range, and is among the hundreds of navigation stations across the country used daily by aircraft. As a commercial pilot, every time I fly over it I think of Johnson and the outstanding movie that I and my sons will hold as the best ever made.

That's Very High FREQUENCY Omnidirectional Range, Mr. Pilot. And it's "Watch your topknot." And yes, indeed,the CZY VOR would make one think of this film, or perhaps "Quigley Down Under," if you recall "Crazy Cora" from that movie.
