Mountain Man

Can anybody think of another Mountain Man/Fur Trapper whose experiences in that profession would make a good movie? I think it would be interesting to see a film made about John Colter's encounter with the Blackfeet and his discovery of what is now Yellowstone National Park. Any thoughts?

Jed Clampett.

Hugh Glass. The Richard Harris movie "Man in the Wilderness" is loosely based on it. Amazing story. Colter would be a good one, but I doubt that any will be made. Not many westerns get made anymore, plus the politically correct crowd would disapprove of any hunting scenes or Indians dying.
