ron liebman

I love this guy in THR. He's also great when he plays a tightly wound character ready to blow at any second.

Ron Liebman was in "Cops and Robbers," a very good, although little-seen, 1973 heist movie. It was written by Donald Westlake, who co-wrote "The Hot Rock."

reply

Don't forget his '70s TV series Kaz.

And Rachel's father in Friends

Liebman & Segal were also in "Where's Poppa?". Check that out, if you can find it, but be warned; there are two versions of the movie...and one has a totally whacked out ending! How whacked? It seriously made me want to puke.

reply

Liebman who looks like he's about to have a heart attack was in "Slaughterhouse" too.

reply

Just to set the record straight, Ron Leibman was not in "Cops and Robbers"..the lead roles were Cliff Gorman and Joe Bologna.

reply

Count me in too please your comment. Liebman stole the movie.
Or Ha! make that did in a back & forth way b/c Sand & Mostel were
doing the same thing - stealing every scene they were in - too.
THR still cracks me up every time I see it. (Dozen times minimum now.)

Ron Leibman is in a great movie from the 70's called Super Cops.

It is loosely based on two real NYC cops.

Here is that movie:

reply

His name is Leibman, not Liebman.

reply

He was co-lead, with Beau Bridges, in a 70s comedy drama, called 'Your Three Minutes are Up'. I've never seen it, anywhere, since its theatrial release. Kind of a wonderful film.
