Carpenter's 'The Thing' ripped this off big-time

Doesn't anyone else see the countless similarities?

If nothing else, this movie "ripped off" Joseph W. Campbell's story "Who Goes There?", which "The Thing" (both the original and Carpenter's remake) were based on.

It's really hard to avoid coping any kind of story. As for the thing, Carpenter based it on the Original Story of "Who goes there?" by Joesph Campbell

Joesph Campbell may have been inspired by HP Lovecraft.

I would say Horror Express is more of a rip off of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express" with a HP Lovecraft twist

Exactly. I believe this movie was inspired by "Who Goes There" which was the basis for both "The Thing from Another World" and "The Thing."

The author is John Campbell, not Joseph. Joseph Campbell is the guy who wrote the "Hero with a 1000 Faces" which was a lot of inspiration for Star Wars.
