It still haunted me...

... until I saw it the second time.

It was my first horror movie, seen at about 9 years old (1990), and I lived with its goulish memory until a year ago when I watched it the second time. It was less scary than before but I finally understood the plot.

Still, in a way I'm a bit sad that the magic is all gone now. No other horror flick made me feel like that.

Watching this movie right now and think i last seen it when i was a kid. Funny how with the age of innocence you view a movie diffrently. Many a movie i watched when i was a youngster left an impression on me for years and when you view it again when your an adult it has less of an impact. Love peter cushing movies and watch them over and over again. like the atmospheric tones and characters portrayed.

I totally agree. When I saw this as a kid it had a big impact on me. I had already seen loads of horror movies by then so I wasn't scared but I found the movie really entertaining. I think Horror Express has aged well as I still enjoy watching it now.

I had nightmares with those red eyes... Couldn't get them out of my mind at night for months.

I thought the victims slowly reclining to the floor with the white eyes (and blood) was worse. This was a weird movie.

I guess I am lucky, for I never saw this film until a few years ago and I was quite impressed by it. I guess I was free of those nostalgic feelings that build something up to be more than it really is. I can see, though, how some of the stuff would have been pretty darned scary as a child. The red eyes alone would have given me nightmares when I was a kid had I seen it. Heck, the old Amityville Horror was terrifying to me back then, what with thoise red eyes in the window!

I saw this back in the late 70's and the image of Telly Savalas after he was possessed or whatever was going on still haunts me, too.

I need to watch it again because it has been a few years. But I still have such memories of being so scared from watching the movie when I was a child. You know what haunted me more than anything; those damned red eyes. To this day I cannot stand looking at those red eyes in other movies. It freaks me out.

This movie really scared me. I was 5 or 6 years old when I watched it for the first time. I did not want to pass in the hallways and dark areas because of these "red eyes". At the time, I did not understand the substance of the story, it is by reviewing the film after 25 years that I finally understood. This is a movie I will never forget.

I'm glad I didn't see this when I was a kid because I don't think it would've impacted me back then. When I was younger, the only horror movies I liked were the action packed, violent, gory ones and didn't appreciate suspense, atmosphere, or character development. But now that I can, I think this film is extremely well made and I think I will be watching it again many times in the future.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

It's never impacted on me so much that I've had nightmares or anything. But the white eyes with the blood around them are pretty darn horrible. Glad I never saw this as a kid as I think I would've soiled my undercrackers!
