Television airings?

I know this is a rather old film (almost 35 years now), but I was wondering if anybody knew whether or not this movie ever recieves any television airings anymore? Like, maybe during November/December in conjunction with the Christmas season? I've been wanting to see this film for a long time, so if there's no chance it'll ever be back on television, I'm going to hunt down an old VHS copy of it on ebay.

Anyways, does anyone know whether or not this film does come on TV anymore? I'm doubting it does, but I just want to make sure.

I haven't seen this film air anywhere in years. It used to be on all the time when I was a kid. A lot of great old tv movies are lost because there seems to be no place for them anymore.

This film used to be shown on late night television every year around Christmas time. The very last time I watched it I decided to tape it and I'm glad I did because it wasn't shown again.

Local late night T.V. airs very few movies anymore.
Guess it's more profitable to air infomercials. BORING!!!!

About 4 years ago, I was staing at a friend's place in South Jersey in the Summer. He has satellite TV and around 4AM a station out of South Carolina announced that HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS was on next. I was exhausted and ready for bed. For a second I hoped it was this film but I knew it was the Jodie Foster film. Surprise! It was this! I hadn't seen it in 30 years. Suddenly I had to stay awake. I was angry I couldn't tape it.

I watched the whole thing and it held up as good as could be expected. Haven't seen it reapeated again. Where are all those great TV movies??

I now own the VHS of this movie (got it a long time ago now), but it's a great horror flick to watch during Christmastime (along with Black Christmas, of course).

Too bad this will probably not see a DVD release in the near future.

With gorilla gone, will there be hope for man?
