As stated by the character Mordecai himself.

Buyer's remorse.

reply

I have always taken it as some remorse (for giving in to the would-be rape) and her trying to protect her honor (what little she still had). She went back but mainly to show how outraged she was....

reply

she shot at him because he knew that she wanted him to take her and she was embarrassed that he saw right through her.

reply

It was not rape, for if you watch the livery stable sex scene closely, you will see her hands helping to remove his belt.

Been making IMDB board posts since the 90s, yet can't bring up any from before December of 2004.

reply

....and, God knows, rape victims always seek out the rapist and end up having sex with him again.

reply

Didn't you ever watch General Hospital? lol

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

reply

If a rape victim did that it wouldn't change anything, it would still have been rape.

troll who prolly only saw the movie once and thinks he/she knows everything about it

It always bothers me when I see the scene of her shooting at him in the tub because the townspeople having the meeting should have heard four gunshots just down the street!

Sad, to see such a masterful wit go unappreciated.

To maintain the illusion of propriety when really she's just a horny slut.

reply

Is she a slut based on the fact that she wants to have (rough) sex?
Why is it justified for a man to desperately want to sleep with a women, but not vice versa?

Essentially, men's view on women hasn't changed.

In what circle are men who intently want to seek out sex looked at as praise worthy exactly? Neither gender being particularly promiscuous often gets high praise from the other. I hear plenty of women very often chastising men for being little more than sex-addicated manwhores. Damn near word-for-word.

reply

Young men often brags about how many they have slept with and many, mostly guys in the same age or younger, looks up to them and praises their accomplishment. I agree that most women do not appreciate it, but that's not my point.

Women who have slept with a lot of guys gets nicknames and everyone looks down on them.

So, you agree with the previous comment, that she was a horny slut?

She missed on purpose. Explain that.

reply

She missed....at point blank range. Explain that.

reply

Because she's a stupid crazy bitch, duh? I thought that was completely obvious the way she whored herself out to literally every man of power in the story (except for the midget).

That sounds a lot like people who justify it when a promiscuous or an intoxicated woman gets raped.
