Your confusion might come from your age The movie was made in 1973, I don't know if you were even born yet. At that time,scenes like this were not at all unusual. I remember seeing James Bond films where Connery look women by force. Today, any aggression toward women or children is taboo, and if a male character even verbally insults a woman or child, he is severely punished later in the film . He is usually beaten to a pulp, or killed.
Let me ask you, when a man is kicked in the testicles in a film, do you laugh? When he is beaten because he laughed at a female character, do you think he deserved it? Do you turn to your husband and say "thats horrible, it makes it look like men should be physically assaulted for making a joke".
Most movies today imply only women and children deserve respect, and men don't matter. Our laws reflect this, as men are much more often actual victims of violence than women, we are much more likely to be beaten or killed, and there are no legal special protections for us.
Watch any group of movies made before about the early 80s, and men were depicted more positively. Today, men ARE shown as dumb, evil, and not worthy of respect. "Women and kids can do whatever they want, men don't matter" is the new Hollywood mantra.

2 yusef, there actually have been some films in history, and it was even featured in one Western film as well, that dealt with such "gender-reversal" subject, but this was clearly NOT one of them, indeed, the perpetrator here was a man, and his victim was a woman.

Maybe I have a bad sense of humor but I actually laughed at this scene when it was over, especially since the woman goes to him again for more later. Then when the other woman hears about it, she tries to stab Eastwood in the eye, but Eastwood blocks the attack and forces a kiss on her, then she gives in and likes it all along it turns out.

I think a lot of it was really a dark comedy and people missed the point, unless I am just too twisted?
