This board is going because Trolls don't think the stranger raped Callie

If you can't see Callie was raped by the Stranger You must be a Rapist too.

Yours seems to be the last message before IMDb shutdown the boards. Your fault for trolling!

Though I respect the fact that it is a sensitive issue on many levels of course, but in an analogical manner, do you think that people who say don't condemn murders as such, or even actions of folks like Adolf Hitler, are murderers and Nazis themselves, and talk about it in such stigmatized "Aren't you ashamed of yourself" related manner?

By that logic, shouldn't we condemn ALL violence like that similarly and not say just reserve the absolute worst of the worst for sexually related offenses, and react to it on boards that feature such themes that are even dealt with even in FICTIONAL movies?

(Yeah, its a pity that back in the times when the movie was SET we as human beings, with some or other exceptions of course, didn't react to it all in the same way that as civilized beings, who are (and should be of course) against this type of stuff happening, as we do TODAY, why do times change?)

By the way, I know this is off-topic of course, but in Russian language, and Russia is where I come from in case you're interested, the term "rape" sounds a lot like, and is often highly synonymous with, the term "violence", and in Russia, MANY people when talking about "rape" actually SAY "violence" EVEN IF indeed the term "violence" in itself isn't anywhere near limited ONLY to "sexual violence" like rape is, and sometimes, people can and do confuse the two terms, and we don't actually have the term "rapist" that describes the perpetrator, we rather call them "violator", even if at times it can mean person guilty of other forms of violence and violations not related to ones of a sexual, or rather, sexually violent nature.

"Изнасилование" is the word you are looking for (I'm Russian as well).

Yes of course, although people AT TIMES call it "насилие" ("nasiliye"), meaning violence, but to be fair, in some languages like French, there are verbal barriers as well, but most people know full well the difference, thankfully.

I wonder why in a movie of this type that scene was included, but could it be also to deconstruct the Western genre traditions and maybe perhaps question certain issues, including attitudes to related matters back in the past?

But yes it was that in the film, and it was terrible and wrong, indeed.

He "hate fucked" her because she was part of having him killed.

It was rape but something different as he is a person who came back from the dead to rape her for being part of his murder.

Since that isn't "real" I don't know what to call it, but it's more like torturing her or killing a part of her as punishment.
