Did I dream this?
I saw this late, late last night, and woke up the next morning thinking that the movie was a dream.

how weirded out would you be if you actually dreamed this?
shareI watched this last night and fell asleep then woke up and was scratching my head...it's definitely a bit surreal.
sharelol, these replies are killin me
Funny thing is I had the same thoughts *while* Im watching it fully awake!
Definitely a HUGE leap from the blind swordsman. I cant believe what a difference it makes with his eyes open, I barely recognized him.
Yeah, the movie is surreal. Even as I was watching him go at the rice bail it just didn't seem...real. I was expecting a typical samurai flick, but I can't say I was disappointed with this. You learn to really enjoy the movie the 2nd time through, kind of like how the women end up enjoying Hanzo in the end.
shareI saw "The Snare" and then "Who's Got the Gold?" in the last month and their weirdness factor is just short of "I Was A Zombie For The F.B.I." But when I noticed that wooden cut-out for Hanzo's manhood, I thought, "No, he can't be serious!" (but he is!)
Hanzo can get preachy at times when he moralizes about official corruption, and rising prices driving the honest poor to steal in order to survive, but then he leavens it with some humor. Such as when he pelts his superior with watermelon rinds or calls out to his two henchmen: Snake, and Death Venom!
