remake?

how would this film go down if they did a scene for scene remake im not talking on critical basis i mean on censor basis seeing as this movie is 38 years old (although sick) the special effects do look dated if this movie was remade using upto date FX how do u think it would go down with the censors like the nipple cutting scene for example.?

Well if they didn't hollywood everything to death it might could be good. I like movies from the 70s and 80s where everything was done in real-time using real people. It's just seems more realistic than using computer effects on everything.

This was (for decades) Lewis swan song in the film business. It was one of the first films to get a "X" rating for violence. Why would you want to see it remade? It deserves to stand on its own. How many more remakes do we need??

reply

Remember Midnight Cowboy got a X rating too. This movie did not receive a X for violence it got a a X for the way it treated women.

It got an "X" for subject matter, and homosexuality. Nudity, sex, and homosexuality in a film was an automatic "X" back then. The Killing of Sister George was the same. Lesbian sex scene at the climax got it an "X".
