How did Kay and Michael meet?
I read the book about 40 years ago. I'm sure Puzo addressed that, but the movies don't. I'm thinking they meet at college, but maybe Kay went to a private Woman's College, as they did in those days.

shareYes. They met in college and Michael's insistence on picking Kay was predicated on his dream of breaking away from his family and what they represented. Coppola and Puzo played on this when they did the flash back in Part 2 at the very end when Michael declares that he joined the US Marines.

Not liking the movie is OK. Most people would consider when you leave the country running from the law as broken up.
