Sound track

Can anybody provide details of the soundtrack to the 1973 movie. A list of songs and the performers would be helpful. Having first read the book in 1973 and then watching the movie. It was the soundtrack the enabled the movie to be just as compelling and haunting as the book.

Threer isn't a soundtrack. The songs in the movie are not by the actual artists because of copywright issues. I'm sure the end credits will tell you what songs were used. And poljfty, what you have listed as the soundtrack is an album by Jefferson Airplane, not the actual sountrack for the movie.

I really need to know what the song is that's playing when they're snorting coke at her birthday party. I've never heard it before, and I would love to know what it is and who did the original. Thanks.

That's an awesome scene with the little brother carrying in the birthday cake and bumming out when he realizes how wasted his sister and her friends are and Shatner obliviously wielding the champagne bottle.

That's a really good cover of a great song, "The Wrong Time" by Spooky Tooth from their classic album "The Last Puff"

I would really like to find the cover version in its entirety and it would be cool to know who the musicians were.

Sound production by Joel Sill, Michael Omartian, Bill Schnee for Almo Productions
"Love So Fine" - Music by Roger Nichols
"White Rabbit" - Music and Lyrics by Grace Slick
"Good Vibrations" - Music and Lyrics by Brian Wilson and Mike Love
"An Old Fashioned Love Song" - Music and Lyrics by Paul Williams
"Do You Know What I Mean?" - Music and Lyrics by Lee Michaels
"Outa-Space" - Music by Billy Preston & Joe Greene
"Dear Mr. Fantasy" - Music and Lyrics by Steve Winwood (as Stevie Winwood), Jim Capaldi & Chris Wood
"It Ain't Easy" - Music and Lyrics by Ron Davies
"Spanish Flea" - Music by Julius Wechter

But as someone else posted-- it could very well have been studio musicians/singers for some of the songs.
