that was w/her initially when they ran away on the bus? I'm watching the movie now and just watched the one scene where she and Chris are on their knees w/a weird looking woman and man but not sure what's going on.

It's explained by Alice's narration that Chris's parents moved somewhere else for a fresh start, so she didn't have to go back to the same school and deal with what Alice did.
