New DVD release

I had to do a presentation on this for a film class.

I found it very challenging at first, but after a few viewings I began to really appreciate it. It is awesome that there is a new DVD release for it. I had to make a crappy tape dub at my school library because DVD copies were selling on the internet for 50-200 dollars a piece.

I think it is a very interesting piece of 70s horror and independent/Black film and I am looking forward to seeing this DVD.

I'm glad it's has been given a decent presentation. It's a very interesting film, odd, but a great change of pace with some good moments.

I watched it today.

It seemed very disjointed and dreamlike to me - it definitely improved when Ganja appeared on the scene, but I still get the feeling the film was rushed because of the production difficulties. The camerawork is very shaky and the soundtrack gave me a headache. I wondered if it had any inluence on the film "Thirst".

Glad it's on DVD. I hear their was a cut version of the film called Blood Couple. I hear it's down right terrible. They say it was made by the company that put the movie because they wanted this movie to be like Blacula. I haven't seen the cut version but I bet they cut out all the meaningful scenes like "spolier ahead", Ganja telling Hess about her childhood and Hess being saved in the church.
