i mean this is pretty much legendary, i would have thought that the fans would out-vote the critics.
i cant see why it would get such a low rating, its hilarious and clever in its own way. i've never seen a film any where near as funny as this.

I never thought you really meant that FTC is the funniest movie EVER, you were just expressing enthusiasm for it (we both know there is probably no such thing as a 'funniest movie ever'). Still, I would venture to say that's its ONE of the funniest.

Yeah it's not that great xD It's a good laugh, I still say it's a great representation of its time, with plenty of in-jokes for the period and a lot to say about the politics. But it's certainly not "legendary", it's a cult film for sure, but it's not particularly mind-blowin.

Obviously, it doesn´t quite have the shock effect it apparently used to have in 1972. Plus the thing´s a bit of a mess, anyway, and in large parts it´s just not particularly inspired or funny. 6/10´s a proper enough rating.
