I guess so, Trey Parker and Matt Stone themselves have confirmed that they thought it was a great way to break some barriers and stuff, but they don't think it's that good of a movie!

What about stuff like Heavy Metal, Fantastic Planet, Akira, Ghost in The Shell, Ninja Scroll, Lightyears aka Gandahar, Starchaser Legend of Orin, American Pop, Pink Floyd The Wall, Urotsukidoji Legend of the Overfiend etc.?

All cool not for the kiddies cult classics.
