Babs

Why didn't Babs go back to Johnny and Hetty's apartment where Richard was staying after she quit her job at the pub..She was going to Paris with Richard, Johnny and Hetty the next day..I'm sure Johnny and Hetty would have let her stay the night...

You know...that's a great point.

I think I have to go re-watch the DVD to see if its covered.

For this is probably the most dramatic scene(if least violent) in the film..Babs being led to her doom by Rusk because she needs a place to stay for the night. She's "homeless" from her pub room(as Blaney was before her.) This would all be rather contrived if she could have just gone to the Porters.

Perhaps Babs was too embarrassed to stay with the Porters...Hetty had already accused Blaney of being the killer and killing Brenda specifically, and was visibly angry that Johnny was going to let him stay for the night....not very welcoming..
