colors

the two colors that Hitchcock kept using together were blue and orange. they clash. Blaney and Babs are usually together in those two colors, yet they are very close emotionally. But green and brown are a good match, plants and earth, and that's how we see Brenda and Rusk, garbed in those colors, yet they are emotionally as far apart as garishly possible. the most striking color IMO is Rusk's tie as we see him and Babs walking through what looks like a huge hangar within Covent Garden, as Rusk talks about different parts of the world. The tie is a strong lavender, and also the murder weapon.
It's like Hitch is using color to show the impending emotion.
