This movie haunted my childhood

I watched this movie when I was about 9 (because there was no such thing as age-appropriate programming on Greek TV, so it was probably shown on a Sunday afternoon or something) and I couldn't get it out of my head, remembering it as a (sort of exciting) nightmarish experience. When I finally found it - thanks to the amazing movie detectives on the imdb forum - and rewatched it as an adult, I realised it hasn't lost its creepy charm.

The one scene that stayed imprinted in my memory - and traumatised me a little - was the scene with the bunny in the forest (when, just as the main character stoops to look at it, it gets shot by Joan Collins' character).

I can imagine being creeped out by this had I seen it during my youth; it's a creepy movie, largely I think due to the setting. You really get a sense of isolation, and the boarding school and cottage set against the English back country is very eerie. I saw the film for the first time last year, and fell in love with it—it's profoundly underrated as far as I'm concerned. I have a copy of the DVD released by Anchor Bay, but I'd really love for them to do a Blu-ray release of the film, especially because Joan Collins and Judy Geeson are still with us. I'd love to hear their memories of making this film.

Hi - I hope you can help. Ive been searching for a creepy film I sae as a kid on tv for YEARS and think this might be it. I remember it being set in a school over summer when it was all closed, and a man slowly chasing a woman around towards the end. Also, I remember it starting with someone hanging from a tree, then ending in this way too. Could this be the film? Literally, its the last film from my youth that I havent been able to track down, I once even wrote to Empire magazine and they couldnt help.
