Helicopter falls into the sea, protagonist escapes?

Is this the movie in which a helicopter pilot is shot, the helicopter falls into the sea, and one of the guys (main character?) inside manages to get out alive, somewhere on a rocky sea coast?

No, I don't think so.In fact I'm sure, come to think of it.

Well, thank you, anyways :) At least it's clear it's not that one.

The film your thinking of is Alistair Macleans "When Eight Bells Toll".

reply

Since you're so definite about it, that must be the one :) Thank you!

Hahahaha I just watched this and I am so glad I came to this board. See I was reading a lot when I was a kid and somehow it stuck to my mind that the helicopter accident (or not an accident? I cant remember) was actually from Fear is the key. I was wondering why is ti a plane and really different from what I remember - the hero is not on the aircraft at all. It turns out it is actually from another book/movie... Thanks!
