Warning regarding new release

Johnny be good is missing due to copyright issues, this bad news is confirmed but dont know if any other changes has been made.
How typical....not the first time this happens on dvd releases....and in this case
also on blu-ray.
Also no xtra included.....not even the original trailer.

Just saw it in theaters, Johnny B. Goode is gone, as are two scenes that were on the VHS of Elvis talking about getting laid.."That girl, could raise the dead!"

If you recall the first time Aloha from Hawaii was on DVD I'm so lonesome I could cry, I can't stop loving you and Johnny B. Goode were omitted because of copyright issues. Many Elvis fans called out BS because they felt that E.P.E just wanted to sell it again in a Special edition.

The opinions expressed here are my own and may be wrong when compared to yours.

TCM is right now airing Elvis On Tour with Johnny B Goode intact, go figure.

And a year later, there the film is on TCM again as part of their King Tribute season, remastered and looking as spankin' as it ever did, with Johnny B Goode intact. Quite a contrast to the film before it, Double Trouble, I have to say. What a load of rubbish.

yes that happened in 2000....and with 68 Comeback,in 2001 same copyright issue happened with TTWII and in 2006 with Elvis:Lives 25th anniversary concert and now On Tour.
And it will happen again in the future :(

"Johnny B. Goode" is replaced by "Don't Be Cruel" repeated twice! At least the dvd producers could have found a song that was just as long as Johnny B. Goode. Poor cover up job!

Other than that gripe, the new dvd is great... excellent digital sound and image. It doesn't look 38 plus years old!
