Really enjoyed this movie when it first was released.

Thought Tepper and Michael Margotta were great

Karen Black is also terrific here, and her moxie is sadly missed these days. I wish I had seen this on the big screen when it was released, but I happy settled for the Criterion Collection DVD four decades later.

Give me Easy Rider, Medium Cool or Zabriskie Point to this any day of the week. As someone once said, this just seems more like a look into a jock's life who likes to have sex…nothing too special or unusual there. 🐭

Sure but no one had done that before.

I also saw it, when it was first released, in a practically empty theater. I think it only played for a week, and this was in New York City! What a dog of a movie, and it was with good reason that it was never, until recently, released on home media. How appropriate that it's now available on DVD with another dog, Henry Jaglom's stultifying A Safe Place. What was Criterion thinking of, letting these two out of their well-deserved tombs?
