Some odd choices.
The ten minute party scene with little dialogue to start the movie to show us these were decadent, obnoxious rich kids could have been a lot shorter. The party wasn't hedonistic enough to be interesting for that long. Then there was some of the soundtrack choices, especially that jazzy, up tempo music that played during some of the scenes meant to be scary.
The movie wasn't all bad, but I can see why Hammer horror came to an end in the seventies. They tried to adapt, but never figured out how.
